On our front axle, since that's what's recommended per the manual, but if your manual says something else, I'd go with that, and that's gonna be on our 245/60R18 tires. Since these are gonna be some larger chains, they're gonna sit very close to our wheel well, so if I put my hand back here, the space between the links and our suspension, it's only gonna be at finger width apart, so that's gonna sit very close, so if this loosens up any when you're driving, that can make contact. But if that's not a worry for you, then we can talk about the specs. I'd recommend these chains to anyone who needs to go through any deeper snow, but you wanna do it with a smooth ride. more

What you're going to see right here is going to be my recommendation for chains for this specific vehicle. It's really, really easy to install. You don't really have to get on the ground and reach behind the tire. All you have to do is pretty much go behind the tire, up in the upper wheel well, so you really don't have to get that dirty, or wet, because if there's snow on the ground, and if we're putting chains on obviously there's going to be snow on the ground, we're going to get a little wet.So, it's definitely going to be the easier of the choices to install, in my opinion. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Konig XG 12 Pro Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains on our 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe, and I've got these on a 235/65R17 tire size.Between the self-tensioning device that we have here and the design pattern on the chains, it's going to do a good job of keeping those chains nice and tight and in place where they're supposed to be to get you going down the road safely in snow and ice. If we take a closer look here at the chains, the diamond pattern mixed in with this design right here is going to do a really good job of getting nice tire coverage, but also breaking up snow and ice as we go to give us good stopping power in ice, but also giving us good starting and turning mobility whenever we're driving in snow. The smaller links here are also going to give us a really nice smooth ride whenever we're going compared to beefier style chains. Now, you're still going to notice that they're there, but I think it's going to do a really good job of cutting down on some of that rough ride that you'd get with bigger chains.The chains are going to be made of a manganese nickel alloy, so they're going to be rust-resistant and they're going to be really sturdy to give you some good years of use. more

Today I have a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe and I'm going to be showing you how to install the Konig standard XB 16 Snow Tire Chains.Now I have these on a tire size of 235/65-17. These are going to be a really nice easy to install snow tire chain. Something that I like right away is the ease of installation is great, but the self-tensioning device that they have in here is going to make sure that they have a really nice snug fit so they stay in place so they can get you going down the road safely.Now when it comes to the traction that these are going to provide, these are going to have a diamond pattern, which is going to be a lot better for giving you full traction compared to the roller style or ladder style chains.What these do, is these just give you really good coverage to allow you to have better starts in the snow. It's going to give you better turning capacity in the snow, but also whenever you're stopping on ice, it's going to dig down into that ice to help you come to a safer stop then the ladder roller style chains.If you look closer at these links that we have here, these are a pretty good size for this vehicle. They are small enough though that they're not going to provide the roughest ride in the world when it comes to chains. more

Today we have a 2019 Hyundai Elantra and we're gonna do a test fit on the Issi Hybrid Snow Socks. These socks are gonna be a great outfit for you to have on your vehicle for those times when you might find yourself stuck in some larger snow and ice. You can put these on and the texture, the fabric's gonna give you that traction you need on that snow and ice to pull you out of any of those situations.The elastic band around the socks on both sides is gonna make it very easy to install. Now even though the thought of just having socks inside of a set of steel chains seems kind of counter productive, the fabric that this is made out of is gonna stick to that snow and ice, and really just give you that extra traction that you need. The tire size we're working with today is 2-0-5-5-5-R-1-6.What I really like about these chains is that they're very quick and easy to install, and they're also self tensioning, meaning we're not going to have to purchase any extra adapters or rubber tensioners to make sure that our chains stay snug against our vehicle.
